Colin Heaney is a design pioneer. His works are cherished
by collectors and grace the worlds galleries. Colin creates
three dimensional sensory smorgasbords of colour infused with
design and form. As an alchemist of design Collin creates beautiful
hand blown glass works for contemplation and inspiration, each
masterpiece provides an experiential journey for the viewer.
Colin is internationally renowned for his unique hand blown
glass creations including goblets, sculpture, bowls, gifts
and vases that incorporate the mixed medias of resin, wood,
stone, cold glass and metals. Colin has now successfully explored
the medium of digital imaging in the forms of wall hangings,
silk scarves and sarongs.
Based in Australia's most eastern point, Byron Bay, Collin's
glass blowing studio is open to the public and hosts a gallery
of exquisite art pieces. The studio also displays a collection
of historical pieces recording Colin's creative journey as
a master glass blower craftsman.
Come to the studio and be inspired by the creative essence
in process and view the glass blowing team in action as they
manifest wonders from molten glass. 1200 degree Furnaces, blowpipes,
hot torches and drama!
Today, one of the world's most celebrated glass artists, Colin
is a maverick in the truest sense. His magnificent Hot Glass
creations are featured in international private and corporate
collections and include: News limited, Zurich Insurance, Telstra,
and the Federal Airports Commission. Also featuring his technical
mastery are the public collections of the Queensland Art Gallery,
Majorca's Glass Museum, Glasmuseet Ebeltoft in Denmark, and
the Corning Museaum of Glass in New York. He is represented
by Habatat Galleries; Boca Raton and Chicago and Gaffer Glass
Gallery in Hong Kong. |
